Natural Axmouth is an independent community group formed in 2013 with a broad interest in the conservation of the natural environment of the village. The Group is fully recognized by the Parish Council and it has an agreed role within the community.
During the year the Group has undertaken a comprehensive survey of the brook and the results can be seen here.
They have also completed a survey of the nesting swifts, swallows and house martins. See the report and a map showing the locations.
In 2010 Devon County Council commissioned a Biodiversity report from the Devon Biodiversity Records Centre with liaison from the East Devon AONB. The report shows what a diverse range of habitats are present within the Parish. The report can be seen here.
There is also a map of the special wildlife sites within the Parish.
