Community Wooodland Orchard

The Community Wooodland Orchard is a field at Combe Farm (entrance on Higher Lane) which is being planted with native and traditional plants to produce a great variety of fruits, nuts, vegetables and herbs as a community resource. The working party sessions are now twice a month from 10.00am – 12.30pm. The sessions include activities such as planting, raking, cutting, pruning, scything, harvesting and working on craft projects. This will be followed by a shared seasonal lunch at the farmhouse (often using ingredients harvested from the orchard) and an informal discussion about the Orchard. No gardening skills or tools are necessary (but these are very welcome) – Come & join us for as long as you can for any of the above!

For more details contact Christina Bows – Combe Farm, Axmouth (01297) 23822 or email Sarah on swappletree@gmail.com to be added to the Orchard email contacts list to get regular updates.
